Try to walk another direction from the hotel, towards Serpukhovskaya underground station, it´s within 5 minutes, there is university, lively area, numerous good cafes, breakfast places and some bars. Walking in the evening is there absolutely ok, I felt much safer in Moscow than in NY or Amsterdam streets.”
