“During our camino, four of us stayed in a "quad room" with two bunkbeds and a private bath. Classic old hotel in nice part of Castrojerez. Nicely decorated common areas with antiques and bullfight memorabilia. Incredible outside patio and balcony area perfect for relaxing outside. Quiet location. Will stay here again during next camino.”
“While this property was a bit further from where others were staying, I'd stay here again every time. The property was so peaceful! The terrace was beautiful. I was lucky because I arrived on a day they had a market in the square just down the stairs from the property. Great fruits and veggies. The room was quiet, clean and wonderful, with a bathtub! The restaurant on site was wonderful as well.”
“The room was in dire need of renovation, there was no personnel at the lobby most of the time as the employees speared to be at the restaurant in the basement. I did not feel safe in this hotel due to its lack of personnel.”
“Very cheerful staff. Wonderful food in the dining room on the Pilgrim menu. This was a great stop on the Camino de Santiago.”
“They make a great gin and tonic and the terrace is excellent for relaxing.”
“Nice people running hotel especially Davila. Room could use some touch ups where leaks from rain seem to have left their mark. Nice beds and a great bathtub for soaking after a long hike on the Camino.”
“After a long day of travelling from the UK, plane, bus & taxi we arrived at 11:00pm. The gentleman who greeted us was so pleasant and helpful. We just fancied a cold beer to relax before going to bed. The bar had closed but he brought up 4 bottles of beer in a ice bucket! . Really pleasant stay before starting our Camino walk the next morning”
“Beautiful views, gorgeus building with an interesting history, lovely garden and friendly staff.”
“Nice older hotel with very pleasant common areas and nice terrace outside the bar.”
“The room was very clean and the location is very good.”
