“Nice characterful rooms and friendly and helpful staff during our brief stay.”
“Right in the heart of Bordeaux this friendly, quirky, little hotel is perfectly located just of Rue Saint Catherine - the famous shopping street. The Opera House is 2 mins walk, Tourist Information and tour start point is 5 mins walk.I say quirky bevause the lobby is normal, 'bland-artistic' that you see in many hotels, but our room was multi-coloured with red, green and yellow walls/tiling which was very bright and not what you're expecting from the lobby. It was fun. The staff were extremely helpful and always friendly. ”
“no breakfast included in deal .nice staff as my partner was not feeling well and we were offered tea and a place to rest before we went to airport”
“Nice staff, very good location (in the center but in a quiet street)”
“Very comfy bed in a small but clean room. Staff very helpful & friendly”
“Charming, close to all, comfortable, not expensive”
“The ideal location. Right in the center, close to the main street shopping ( Rue St. Catherine) and lots of cafes, pubs and good restaurants. Always felt safe walking on nearby streets by my own. I've booked an individual room, and the room was small but very comfy, clean and the bed was bigger than the usual single beds. At the reception very nice people. Overall, it was perfect for me.”
“Nice hotel with lovely staff and fantastic central location. Lovely comfy bed and good bathroom facilities.”
“The staff were very helpful. After leaving the hotel, I had to return to use the internet to adjust my travel plans after a cancelled EasyJet flight left a plane load of disgruntled passengers abandoned at Bordeaux airport. One of the reception staff, Massimo, from Spain, worked tirelessly, for an hour of so, to find alternative routes home, including for 2 friends, who hadn't even stayed at Hotel du Theatre. The hotel is ideally situated in the city centre, close to tram lines, the Grand Theatre Plaza, main shopping areas as well as the Gironde and its fascinating waterside buildings and architecture.”
“All the staff were really helpful, friendly and the reception being staffed added a feeling of security. We expected a themed room and found we had the Bob Marley decor, lovely bright colours all looked newly and faultlessly painted. Really funky. The bed was really comfortable with lovely white linen, an extra pillow and cushions made it really cosy. The room, bathroom and loo were spotlessly clean, we had soft white towels and good quality toiletries. Air con machine helped us cool down on arrival. Good wifi and TV. Continental style breakfast served in a clean but windowless breakfast room was fine. English speaking staff really made our stay easy as our French is terrible. But I will try , so Merci Bien to all the staff we met! We would happily stay again..”
