“This historic hotel is located in a central location within easy walking of lots of wonderful historic sites and within 10 mins walk across to Travestere for evening restaurants and bars. An excellent location. The beautiful old staircase that rises up to the rooms has a touch of faded glamour about it; just lovely. The room was beautiful; modern with excellent quality fittings. It is very new - only 7-8 months since it was refurbished and I especially loved the Italian polished plaster walls and the combination of historic and contemporary design. The slot in the ceiling where you could lie in bed and view the 17th century frescoed ceiling was pretty special. Lovely toiletries and showers and the space outside the room to make a cup of tea was welcomed but see note about a coffee machine.”

“The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. They are decorated in a modern, minimalist style which is very soothing after spending all day absorbing the city's sights and sounds. The bathroom is beautiful, with radiant-heat flooring and spacious showers that have fantastic "rainshower" heads. The king-sized bed was very comfortable, with no "seam" in the middle (meaning it didn't feel like two twin beds combined). It was quiet and very peaceful, and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The hotel's location is fantastic - you are near everything! It is an easy walk to almost any site you might want to explore.”
