“Iconic building with great views across the sound and the fishing fleet. Huge walls for glass. We had a standard room with a great view. The windows and bathroom sink had been replace, but the rest of the facilities and furnishings looked original to the 70s. Comfortable public areas with glass walls to appreciate the view. The restaurant was very good, reasonably priced and excellent service.”
“The hotel architecture is surprisingly interesting once you pass the front facade. The views of the bay from all locations in the hotel are beautiful. We loved our big (bigger than normal) beds (we had two rooms, one with a king bed which was California king, and another with regular full beds which were larger; this was a huge plus and pleasant surprise). We also enjoyed the food and the staff was most helpful and friendly. The hotel is also walking distance to all main sites within Castro city. It was just a fantastic time.”
“Superb location. Having a good coffee close to the huge fireplace is definitely a nice experience after a long walk with freezing outside temps! WiFi works very well and the restaurant offers excellent food.”

“Very friendly and helpful reception staff throughout my stay. Stayed in a well appointed double room on the second floor with views over the water which was very pleasant. Downstairs enjoyed the jacuzzi which was very relaxing. Also a moderate size indoor pool and sauna area. About a 5 minute walk to local square / restaurants / sights. Friendly and helpful staff at breakfast too. Very pleasant stay”
