“The hotel is in a 16th Century building in the middle of Sainte Marie. s a largeish party were also staying the night we were upgraded to a studio apartment (for no extra cost) a little way from the hotel (a five minute walk) which meant we ended up with a kitchenette in our much larger room a bonus. We weren't able to dine in their restaurant as their fixed menu fo the evening (which I have no doubt would have been really good) involved a food one of us couldn't eat. We had an excellent breakfast in the lovely wood panelled dining room of the hotel itself.”

“A friendly welcome met us when we arrived somewhat wet and tired after a motorcycle ride to the hotel. The motorcycle was soon parked away in a safe area to the rear of the hotel and we were in our room. Simply furnished, with lots of space and very clean the room had a nice view from the front and was very quiet. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was excellent, the breakfast was huge and set us up for a new day exploring the Vosges, again by motorcycle.”

“We stayed 2 nights. On the second night the weather was warm enough to eat dinner on the terrace. Madame who ran the hotel seemed to have half shut it down (we think she is exhausted after running it for 30 years) but by the second day she had cheered up. We had carafe wine and it was good. Other people have complained about the church clock bells ringing all night but we scarcely noticed them.”

“Great little hotel in this rather quaint very French town. Room 1 was very roomy and bright, clean and comfortable. Good choice of continental breakfast given the small size of the hotel. Only had about 8 rooms. Small public car park opposite (no charges). Area was quiet during the night although the church clock chimes on the half hour.”

“All staff were polite and helpful and benefit for me was they all spoke good English. The whole hotel was modern and clean. On the edge of Town and easy to find. Good free car parking.”

“The food, its good to go somewhere and try the local food rather than the usual international cuisine. Ok is was not great but a pleasant change”

“We liked the friendliness of the staff and the possibility to have dinner at the hotel restaurant which offered very tasty local dishes. The breakfast was simply but plenty and tasty. Our two dogs were very welcome and free of charge.”
