“We flew in to Kumamoto and rented a car to drive to Izumi specifically to go to the Arasaki Crane Reserve. It was well worth the trip. We stayed one night at the Hotel Wing which is about a 20 minute drive. We were only there one night, so not much time to explore the surroundings. Staff couldn't speak english, but were trying to help as best they could. The Japanese breakfast was great. Close to the train station if you are travelling by train.”
