What guests loved the most
“Not a lot! The hotel is located half a mile up a steep side street, not a problem for us but it could be for some. On arrival we were told the restaurant was shut, and it appeared that this had been the case for some time. One of the reasons we booked this particular place was because it had a restaurant! The "balcony" advertised in the blurb is actually a common walkway for all the rooms at the front of the hotel. As such it is neither private nor quiet. The view is good, though. The room was small and dark, but because of the walkway outside we couldn't open the curtains. The bed was sparsely made with just two very small pillows and thin blankets. The bathroom was filthy and most of the plumbing was in need of attention to restore it to full working order.”
