“A very handy place to stop on my train journey across Italy. Hotel very close to the station. I left early before breakfast to get the train, but the station cafe opens at 5.30. I paid in cash on arrival and the door was opened for me. A very pleasant cafe gave me coffee and a sandwich on my arrival. A helpful young lady led me to the hotel. I enjoyed the modern cathedral with the helpful explanations of all the original paintings. In the morning mist I had a fine view of the filled in lake as we passed on the train. This is a very pleasant normal town.”
