“Basic but comfortable accommodation with an on site restaurant where we had an enjoyable evening meal outside. There was no wifi in our room, but the restaurant's wifi reached the outside dining area. Definitely good value for money.”

“The hotel facilities are good for the price you pay but do not expect much. It is a basic hotel in a village. The rooms are ok. I liked that the floor in the bathroom is heated, so you do not feel cold, even though there is not heating in the bathroom. The heating in the room can sometimes be too much but you can always open the entrance door and the room will be cooled down immediately. The breakfast is very basic - fresh omelette, tea, bread, butter and salty cheese. The hotel is somewhere at the outskirts of the village. But if you want to get to Shahdag mountain resort, you should anyway take a taxi that would cost approx. 20 manat and takes half an hour to get to the piste. Actually, Umud is a good and cheap option if you want to ski in Shahdag.”

“Very friendly and helpful manager Ruslan. He can personally offer tours of the region, including mountains, lovely pastoral settings, bazar, and nearby Quba with its synagogue. His English-speaking teenage son can accompany, and Ruslan himself knows a bit of English.”

“Wauw waar te beginnen! De kamers zijn ruim en mooi ingericht, met nette badkamers. Het terrein van het hotel is erg gezellig, met een speeltuin voor kinderen. Er is altijd wel iemand om mee te kletsen als je daar behoefte aan hebt - maar er zijn ook rustige plekjes. Op het terrein is het restaurant voor ontbijt, lunch en avondeten. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Het hotel is landelijk gelegen. Maar het meeste enthousiast van alles ben ik over de hotel eigenaar Ruslan en zijn zoon. Ruslan kan geweldige, betaalbare dagtrips organiseren naar bijvoorbeeld Xinaliq en Laza. Zijn zoon spreekt goed Engels en fungeert als tolk. Het waren echt bijzondere dagen! Hun gastvrijheid tijdens de trips is onovertroffen.”

“Нас хорошо встретили. Завтрак был хороший. Ванная чистая. Особое спасибо Руслану, он постоянно спрашивал о том, что нужно, или есть ли какая проблема. Это радует. Во дворе много деревьев, правда дворик не большой.”

“Очень понравилось отношение персонала - настоящее восточное гостеприимство. Особенно порадовала забота менеджера отеля - Руслана. Он меня встретил на автовокзале, проводил, причем бесплатно. Организовал доставку на Горнолыжный курорт и обратно . Провел экскурсию по городу - решал все мои возникающие проблемы. Такого сервиса я еще не встречал.Недорогой ресторан, но надо заказывать еду заранее, поскольку ее готовят непосредственно под ваш заказ. Стоимость гостиницы вместе с трансфером на гору практически в 2 раза обошлись дешевле, чем отели на курорте Шахдаг.”

“Хорошее соотношение цена/качество. Вариант переночевать 1-2 ночи для посещающих Гусары. Достаточно Просторный номер. Такси от автовокзала до отеля обойдётся в 2 Маната. ”
