“The Japanese fine dinning provided is delicious! There are tours (in Japanese only) to introduce Tateyama for free. The sunrise tour is amazing even though it cost some extra money. The staff are helpful and polite.”
“You cannot beat this location. Having a one night stop over on the Alpine route allows you to go at your leisure, we left Toyama at 11am and arrived at hotel early afternoon, meaning no mad rush, and you can enjoy the spectacular scenery. The room was huge, and we were very grateful to borrow wellies for walking around outside. All in all, I would 100% recommend.”
“Hotel is located next to the snow wall so we get full enjoyment of the scenery. The Japanese dinner was delicious with many variety. Breakfast was buffet style, good but I expected a good Japanese breakfast. Room is old, though equipped. Didn't join any night activities as they were conducted in Japanese. Hot bath was an enjoyment. Everything is overpriced. Not a good value for money but a necessity to rest in order to enjoy the snow wall and the dam over 2 days.”
“Highly recommended. At first was hesitating to book the hotel considering the relatively high price. However it's was value for money as the hotel arrange few activities for guests with very detailed explanation. We had French cuisine for dinner and it was excellentVariety of choice for breakfast. We could also enjoy public bath within the hotel. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel room is clean despite it's relatively old. Overall it's hotel you will not regret to spend the money on. ^_^”
“It is situated right above the bus station, very convenient. The view from my hotel room is spectacular! The snow wall walk arranged by the hotel is a must do activity, it is organised exclusively for hotel guests. Various facilities are available to use. The staff are nice and friendly.”
“Location, it is just in the building of the bus station. It is the best choice if you'd like to enjoy the Tateyama in a peaceful and relaxing way, stay one night in the mountain. Room is clean. Breakfast and dinner are nice. The best part is the exclusive snow path walk after 5pm, when all the public tourists are leaving. You can enjoy the whole path in a quiet way!”
“the bed is firm and comfy. the staff at the Japanese restaurant are exceptionally friendly. we feel good.”
“Very convenience to the snow wall. The hotel guests have special time (5pm) to walk the snow wall, (away from the public crowd) a nice arrangement. There is also slide show and star gazing walk at night (need to pay), unfortunately conducted in Japanese.”
“The location is amazing, fantastic view. The staff were great, they had people who could speak a range of languages in the restaurant. They provided a railing on one of the beds for the baby, so he didnt fall out.”
“We loved the location, onsen, the kaiseki meal. Excellent location to allow you to take a bit more time doing the crossing and enjoy the mountains in the evening after the crowds leave. There was a talk (in Japanese) with slides in the evening about that area and then there was a bit of star gazing afterwards.”
