“Tucked away at the end or the valley one finds the city of Vals, nestled between the Swiss Alps. At the farthest end of this valley is a gem of a hotel named The Steinbock. The people are friendly and welcoming; and the food is as wonderful as the views from the dining area. The rooms are comfortable and clean with the warmth of the wooden walls to relax into the bed. After hiking we settled into the jacuzzi next to the sauna. The quality of the breakfast is outstanding, organic yoghourt and home made "Müesli" next to dried meets, fresh breads and home made jams. It would be hard to find a nicer place than this.”
“The architecture of the building is very beautiful. Clean, convenient obviously next to tge ski lift.”
“Excellent and friendly staff were very helpful throughout my stay. They offered to drive me to the lake and to see the town's architecture. On two days they prepared breakfast for me before the service started so I could take the early bus.”
“The view from the room was spectacular! And the staff was extremly helpful in many ways (they gently offered to rescue me late night after finding myself stuck on the incorrect road). Breakfast was also perfection.”
“This is the kind of hotel the Swiss excel at. Simple, clean, funky location. Very alpine modern with a good restaurant. Plenty of wood. The hotel is right beside a lift that accesses great hiking, and the view of the Valser valley is outstanding.”
“Great location with amazing rooms and overall set up of the hotel. Stone walls with big windows and warm wood.”
“The view was awesome! The design of the hotel is good”
“The hotel was fabulous, really well designed, contemporary, nicely detailed rooms which were super quiet despite the hotel being full whilst we were there. The location was great and staff were really helpful and... Can't wait to go back in the summer!”
“The room was really nice, breakfast was just ok and the staff could have been a bit friendlier.”
“The hotel has the best location in the village of all hotels with an amazing view of the valley. The breakfast was really great. We also tried the outdoor bathtub which was a amazing.”
