Important Notice
- To the hotel from the train station:<br>- leave the train station to the main street<br>- walk the main street uphill, continuing in the direction you have come by train, towards the Staubbach Waterfall.<br>- after 500 metres, you will see Hotel Staubbach on your left-hand side. (If you pass the church you have gone too far.)<br><br>You can also take the bus to the hotel (direction Stechelberg), which stops opposite the train station. Get off at the first stop and proceed for a few minutes on foot.<br><br>There are no taxis in Lauterbrunnen, but you can order a taxi in advance from Garage Gertsch in the next village.

“A return visit due to location of village and character of this historic hotel with amazing valley & waterfall views from breakfast room and south facing rooms. We stayed in Room 3 up on first floor on street side - rooms with panoramic views not available at short notice this time - but partial valley view's still wonderful & better value: see pics . Our double room with balcony was quite comfortable with a large bathroom. No air con but windows can open and shutters can close, so OK in October. Staff were all very helpful & knowledgeable. Their top recommended restaurant was so good we ate there twice! Buffet breakfast was good with hot items replenished frequently. There's also a "Picnic room" for guests with table, chairs, fridge, kettle, microwave etc. for semi-self-caterers or just to chill your wine to sip on public balcony. Bliss after a hike!”
