“This is nice hotel tucked into a quiet spot up the hill and off the Main Street of Monterosso. It has a lovely little outdoor sitting area surrounded by flowers and foliage. Our room was quiet and clean, bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, printing out train schedules, advising on sightseeing and so forth. It does require walking and stair climbing to reach the hotel and additional stairs for some rooms, but for us this added to the quaintness of the area. We would not hesitate to stay here again.”

“Breakfast was very good. Don’t forget to have a freshly made omelette. Some previous reviews stated that it was a long hike up the hill to the hotel. It was a short walk up a gentle grade from the main road. Being off the main road meant that it was very quiet in the hotel and outside on the grounds. The room seemed to be newly remodeled and very up to date. Also, very clean and the bed was comfortable.”

“Friendly and helpful staff provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and trail info for walking. The room was comfortable and an excellent breakfast was included. The hotel has a lovely courtyard garden for a drink or breakfast outdoors. Quiet location in the lovely old part of town.”

“Wonderful small hotel situated in a quiet location just off the main street in Monterosso al Mare. It was the perfect location to explore all the Cinque Terre villages and hike the trails. Great service, terrific breakfast included, lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Would recommend to anyone who wants to fully explore this fascinating part of the Italian Riviera.”

“The morning breakfast was very good although it was a standard breakfast. Everything was fresh, clean and in a very good atmosphere. We only stayed one night but I can tell you everyone at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. The room was very clean and I enjoyed walking up to the room. We would have loved to stay longer but unfortunately that was not in our plan. The whole area around the Hotel was very pleasant and fascinating.”

“There were 4 couples in our group. We were the only one in the older section of the hotel. While our room was older and not as modern it was still very acceptable. Location was great and the staff helpful. We would recommend this hotel. Our second trip to Monterosso but first time at this hotel.”
