“Very nice new hotel a few kilometers outside of Kalpetta. My room had an beautiful view of the mountains and forest (see photo), and it was very quiet at night set back from the main highway. Comfortable bed, huge modern shower/bath, good t.v., and a nice desk to do some work. Spotlessly clean. The staff and manager were very professional and friendly; they helped me hire drivers and a guide to see Soochipara Falls, Muthunga Wildlife Sanctuary, and Chembra Peak. One night I wanted some apples, and they sent someone out to bring me some right away. Little nice things like that make a trip extra special. Restaurant was good as well, although I recommend sticking to the Keralan specialties as that is where they excelled. Free breakfast buffet was outstanding.”
