“Location was great, walkable to all the major attractions in Florence. Our hostess was really polite and friendly. She also allowed me to check-out early and leave my luggage at the place which was very convenient. When I came back, she also let me hang around in the lounge waiting for the time to leave. Good value for money.”
“The location was excellent. A few minutes from the Uffizi.”
“Our hostess was lovely, spoke fluent English, was informative and very forthcoming. You get to sleep in a 500 year old building in the centre of Florence. The hotel does not have a breakfast room, but who needs one if you've got a multitude of restaurants that serve breakfast around the corner.”
“We had to stay in the city an extra night due to a snafu with the rental car, and Hotel Scoti took us in last minute and provided a great place for us to stay. They called the property in Chianti we were supposed to be arriving at that night for us (as our Italian is not good) and let them know the situation. Very helpful and accommodating!”
“The location was central to Florence, and extremely good. The hostess was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.”
“Great location on the edge of the old town. Being in a palazzo with the most amazing frescoes in the entrance lobby has a certain cool factor! Doreen is always on hand to offer help and advice. A great place to stay if you don't intend to spend any time in the room other than to sleep.”
“This was a hidden gem, basic room, however, great location”
“The building is wonderful and the simple decor suits the feeling of the building. The room itself was simple and lovely - light and airy, quite spacious, and with a nice view of rooves and apartments. A huge, beautiful sitting room is also available to guests. The location is excellent: in the middle of a very swanky street, right in the heart of things, close to the river - so the bridges and attractions on the other side are easily reached - and not far from the Duomo and other sights on the same side of the river. I walked everywhere from there. Doreen was incredibly welcoming and helpful.”
“No breakfast was available at property and it was on the High fashion street, above all the expensive international brand flagship stores. It was noisy at night and the street was used to take people on the horse and carriage rides which echoed through the cobbled streets at night. The spotlight on the shops also shone brightly through the thin curtains. No a/c so window needed to be open. Room very clean but very spartan. No pictures on wall. No TV which is ok. Easy to find your way home as the street runs to the river one bridge down from the Ponte Vecchio. Easy walk to Uffizi Gallery. Very authentic old building with a great front door.”
“Doreen was a wonderful host. Old world charm and very central location.”
