“An absolute joy! Pure non-touristy Spain just 10 minutes from the motorway, and the perfect distance from Santander for a first day of driving. It's a simple friendly village hotel and owner Beatrice is a delight. It's not plush, but it has oodles of character. Her brother runs the restaurant across the road and our meal there was memorable - no tourist menus here! Remember that the restaurant is closed on Sundays. Can't wait to get back!”

“Friendly member of staff at reception. Welcoming to our dog. The bedroom a nd bathroom were very clean with basic toiletries provided. We parked directly outside the property which was a bonus. The owners brother ran the restaurant opposite which served us a good evening meal. You might struggle to find any other places to eat here as it's quite a small village. Very good value for money and they didn't charge for the dog.”

“Ideal for a stopover in our drive back to Santander . Received a warm welcome & was well looked after , food was nice, breakfast was continental & plenty to choose from. Room was comfortable & clean. The hotel has a restaurant across the road, but it wasn't open for our one night Sunday stay. We were still able to get food which was great. Would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to and from the Ferry in Santander which is approx. 2 hours drive away. Can't comment on the area as didn't have time to explore. The room rate was good value for money & included breakfast.”

“This Hotel is in a peaceful location at the end of the village - you could expect a horse and trap to trot by it is so quaint! Reception was efficient, security excellent, beds comfortable, quality towels, decorated tastefully. Evening meal at the restaurant across the street was first class.”
