“This is in a great location for getting out around Paradise Valley, especially if you want to walk, and even more so if you take the advice of the hotel proprietor, a Berber who was born and raised in the local Berber villages. He now specialises in leading walks and tours, though he simply drew for us a simple map that led us on a fantastic walk that is not the usual tourist trail. He also works with others on trying to maintain and rekindle Berber traditions. Chat with him over dinner. You should see the hotel in this context - it is not about gleaming 5* chic, but friendly and local, with basic but adequate comfort.”

“Paradise valley is a great place to spend a few days if your traveling through the area and tifrit is definitely the place to stay! Rachid showed us a very nice route to walk, away from the tourists, but still visiting the natural pools where we could swim. He then invited us to have dinner together (their breakfast as it was ramadan) which was truly the best meal we'd had during our journey. Thanks Rachid for your hospitality! We definitely won't forget the tajine boulet de sardines frais!”
