- Please note that the hotel restaurant "Straussen" and reception is closed on Mondays the whole day and on Sundays from 15:00 onwards (if Monday is a public holiday, the restaurant will also be closed on Monday from 15:00 onwards and on Tuesday the whole day). On these days, the key can be collected from a deposit, which will be communicated via email.<br><br>However breakfast will be served.<br><br>Please note that parking is subject to availability. There is a public car park 100 yards from the property.<p>Please inform Hotel-Restaurant Straussen in advance of your expected arrival time. “The house is very old (it's from 1536), but it was renovated in 2000s and it looks like a modern house. I was afraid because there is no checkin on monday - but it's very simple: there is a key deposit box in front of the main door. The location was great: it's located basically where the footpath to Harburg castle starts.”
