“We like the blue room, it is big and clean. The owner and the staff are all friendly. We have a good breakfast at a reasonable price and the restaurant is also highly recommended. We will surely stay here again if we happen to be around the area.”

“We came later, than we,d planned,because of traffic.Hotel was very welcome.It was so like we were part of the family they were waiting for.Dinner was huge and tasty.We ordered salad--and got huge portion,which about to kill us.My wife got very tasty fish and I got big juicy peper steak accompanied with bottle of wine.Breakfast was with fresh fried eggs,good coffee,cheese,salami,juice,jam--like for hole day.”

“The location was central although the town is so small we walked around it's entirety in about 15mins. The staff very helpful but spoke a tiny amount of English, we got by. The room was clean and the shower was good. There are a choice of 3 restaurants in town for dinner (the Greek hotel restaurant happened to be closed due to the family/owners having their once a year vacation). Perfect for a quick stop over whilst visiting Berg Eltz.”

“This was our fourth visit and we will be back next time we are driving from Italy to Ijmuiden to catch the Newcastle ferry. We drive a few miles off the motorway to get here but it is certainly worth the effort. If you have more time the area itself is surely worth a visit. We love the hotel and also the food in the restaurant. Antonio is a fantastic host who always goes the extra mile. Better not say any more or we might find it harder to book a room in future.”

“Great hotel. Absolutely a good value for money deal. The owner was even so friendly to store our bikes in his small courtyard and makes us a cup of coffee before we left the day after in the early morning! Recommended.”

“The hotel manager is very friendly. Food is very good. Grilled meat is so delicious. They have English menu. Breakfast is prepared like private buffet, simple but with high quality. Perfect location for quick access to Elz Castle.”

“This hotel is a very good value and clean. Nothing fancy about the rooms but the bathrooms are up to date and spacious. The Greek family who owns this hotel is very accommodating and friendly. The greek dishes are very tasty and you can expect lamb on the menu. We found the variety of greek wines to be very nice and affordable. If you choose breakfast in the morning, it is extensive and very good as far as european continental breakfasts go. The location is only 6 kilometers from Burg Eltz and the town itself has some interesting features that justify a short walk if you like.”

“This place is a real gem. We have stayed here 3 times now while on route from Italy. It is exactly what we need to wind down after a long drive. We will be back! Quaint little town. Hotel rooms are lovely. The restaurant is fab - check out the grilled prawns! Best of all, the owner is a great guy.”
