“Great place, near by slope. We just walked 20 metres and we were skiing. The reception was always helpful and even let us stay half a day longer, so we could change after last day skiing. We also loved the wellness area where is sauna and steam room. Rooms are comfy and specious enough, so in three people we could enjoy our stay. Breakfast is rich in varieties, ranging from sweet to continental food. We would love to comeback next year!”
“The staff, and by that I mean the owner/manager Alessandro himself, went well above and beyond the call of duty. It began with us asking him to organise a taxi transfer to another part of the Dolomites which had few public transport links and when the booked taxi driver let us down, Alessandro drove us there himself. On the way we heard how he used to manage Italy's national skiing team before he took over the hotel, the generational family business. He had invested in substantial renovation of the establishment, while keeping its historical (and protected) character. The hotel has, in my view (as someone who has been going to the Dolomites for the past twenty years) the best location near the cable car to the top of Sella, as it's a 10mins walk along an off-road trail and not among the tourist trap complex immediately next to it. However, the most memorable and outstanding feature of Hotel Pordoi has to be the food. Our compliments to the chef!”

“We took the junior suite, so we had huge windows looking at the magnificant view of the mountains, which is worth the extra money. The hotel has a rich and very tasty menu for both breakfast and dinner, at good prices too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for ski or hiking holidays.”
