What guests loved the most

“Went with my 86 year-old father-in-law. A really ideal location for touring the whole area including the Amalfi Coast (bus goes from outside the front door!), Pompeii (station faces the hotel), Paestrum (station faces hotel), the Cliento coast (station faces hotel) and the seafront and ferries (5 minute walk). We had spacious and simply furnished rooms on the 4th and 5th floor facing onto the Station Plaza (and the start of the long pedestrianised shopping street). The hotel has been in the same family for decades and retains a relaxed and pleasant old-world character. It feels very safe. Went in November and had glorious weather. The Christmas lights were really beautiful, especially in the old town (easy walk). There didn't appear to be anyone English (or from anywhere else other than Italy) staying at the hotel over the 6-night stay.”

“The room was spacious enough by European standards. And very quiet!! The small balcony was very nice. The room is right across from the train station and easy walking distance to ferry terminal. It is located at the entrace to a pedestrian walking mall with shops, restaurants, bars etc. The room was clean, desk staff helpful, and breakfast was perfect. We would stay here again.”

“I stayed in this wonderful hotel for two weeks. The location was perfect, next to the train station and on the main shopping and dining street in the historical center of Salerno. It was extremely quiet due to double pane windows. The rooms are very nice and the bathrooms beautiful and spacious, having all been remodeled. Best of all is the incredible service. The staff all speak English and are extremely efficient and kind. The breakfasts were delicious in a charming dining room overlooking the walking outdoor mall. The owner, Mr. Gaitano, was always present, interacting with guests and being very helpful. He moved us immediately to a room with a large handicapped shower when we explained the need for it. My husband became very ill and was hospitalized for one week during our stay. The kindness and compassion shown by Mr. Gaitano and the staff was something that I have never experienced in any hotel despite having traveled the world many times.”

Location is also great if you're into shopping and would like to have all sort of boutiques within walking distance. Very friendly and helpful staff and clean rooms and public areas.”

“Very clean & comfortable hotel in good location opposite the train station. Rooms, we had a large room on the top floor with a good view of the surrounding hills. Breakfast excellent, staff very friendly & helpful. We would defiantly stay there again if we went back to Salerno.”
