“The spectacular view from our balcony was breathtaking! For hikers, it doesn't get better than seeing La Meije "up close and personal" with its hanging glacier and beautiful larch forests at the lower elevation. Every time we looked out, whether first view at dawn or the starry night before we went to sleep, it was so inspiring. We can't remember the last time we enjoyed such a large, comfortable room with two bathrooms. With windows and a French door for cross ventilation, the room temperature was adjustable to our comfort. We slept like babies! The owners are always around and at your service, and the hotel is run very efficiently. We were very happy with the breakfast offerings each day, though we might have liked a little earlier start than 8 in the morning. We would gladly return here, and doesn't that say it all?”
