“Clearly the last few days of the season, the hotel and staff seemed tired. A little disappointing.”
“It is very nice and cosy place to stay if you plan to explore GranSaso national park. Open pool with mountain view is small but nice extension for relax atmosphere. The restaurant is very good.”
“Super clean and cost, friendly staff, nice wine &a dine area, not to mention the hillside location offering a great view over the valley. ”
“Nice and friendly staff/owners. Location is quite and w great views, but still very good as a base for excursions, by foot, bike, motorbike or car. Hotel was clean, and had a modern classy interior. Restaurant served good classical Italian food.”
“The restaurant was just fantastic, way better than expected for a hotel restaurant. The food was first class and reasonably priced. It was our best meal in three weeks in Italy an the staff made our kids very welcome. However, the food was overshadowed by EVERY staff member we dealt with, just the friendliest warm and welcoming place we have been in our entire trip.We loved it!! Thanks”
“This hotel is ideally situated for exploring the Gran Sasso. Just 500 m from the gondola to Campo Imperatore (however, was closed even last weekend of June) and the road to Campo Imperatore runs in front of hotel (27 km by road) . The hotel is modern with nice mountain look; the grounds include a terrace with sun chairs and great view, a small swimming pool and hot tub (but not heated at time of visit). Our room (#111) had two small windows with no views to speak of, our only disappointment with the facilities. The hotels restaurant was great, good food and reasonable price. Breakfast was excellent with good selection and individually brewed expressos and capuccinos to your heart's content. WiFi good as long as in the bar area. Hotel is somewhat isolated so quiet, peaceful and relaxing.”
“staff very helpful, they fixed us a quick dinner when we found out the restaurant is closed. Right next to a scenic road high above valley so excellent for cycling tours. Safe bike storage.”
“The included continental breakfast was excellent: a wide assortment of bread, cheese, meats, pastries, cereal, and juice. The very friendly bartender would make as much cappucino or espresso as you wanted. The hotel's restaurant was also very excellent, serving traditional Abruzzese food at a very reasonable price. Our room was clean and modern.”
“Central location for both natural parks and surrounding historical towns. Very close to a major expressway and L'Aquila but secluded. Nice, comfortable rooms and beds. Very good restaurant. Friendly staff. Beautiful views all around including the Gran Sasso and Campo Imperatore. Only 1.5 hours from Rome.”
“The staff worked hard to make our stay an excellent experience.”
