“Great hotel in a great location. Super clean and super friendly. Best value for money.”
“A return trip for us having enjoyed ourselves so much last year. The hotel remains very friendly and a 'home from home'. Lovely breakfasts each morning to start our day. We had the room next door to the one we had last year so we're very familiar with the layout. Plenty of space in cupboards to store all you belongings, and everything you buy while you're there. We were welcomed like long lost friends and enjoyed our daily chats and the odd Raki with the staff. Hire a car and you can discover all the little coves and travel up the mountains and through gorges for spectacular scenery and it's easier to get to Komos beach by car. It was so perfect we've booked for next year already, counting the days now!”
“We thought the staff were very friendly, smiley, chatty & helpful, always engaging and very hospitable, loved our daily chats at either end of our day, went out of their way to book a local restaurant for us and very informative about groups playing in the town which enhanced our evenings. They work very hard to make sure the rooms were kept clean & tidy, with clean bedding & towels all to a high standard.”
“It 's a beautiful, quiet place but also near the center of Matala. Nice swimmingpool. Lovely staff and good breakfast. The room simple but very clean and big fridge. It was everything we needed!”
“Highly professional, friendly owners. Brilliant location.”
“We didn't book the breakfast, but they looked lovely. The rooms were kept meticulously clean. Lovely fluffy fresh towels each day. Cornelia and Michael welcomed us in from the first night and we felt part of the family enjoying a glass of beer with them on some evenings. We didn't see many English people during our 10 days in Matala, but certainly couldn't feel homesick due to Jo, the resident Liverpudlian lady working with Cornelia and Michael, who regaled us with her funny anecdotes. The hotel is close to all the amenities and there are some lovely restaurants within easy walking distance. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, organising transport, restaurant recommendations, request for hair dryer, always with a smile. Thank you to you all at Neos! We will be back.”
“Hi everyone, Matala is a beautiful little place, still very much a hippie-inspired, feel-good beach. The hotel is of a high quality and runs by German precision by Michael & Cornelia. The owners and Jo take good care of you and are friendly and see to your needs. Good tips from them on what to do locally.”
“My daughter and I stayed 10 days and loved the place, feeling like home the minute we arrived. The hotel owners were very friendly and helpful, our room very clean, and the facilities/pool great. Matala village and the beach were at 5 minutes walking distance, Extremely nice. I highly recommend!”
“Staff/owners exceptional and friendly. Location.”
“Cordelia and Michael we're welcoming on our arrival, friendly throughout our stay and sad when we left. The hotel was spotless, comfortable and the breakfast delicious. They have a bar and welcomed us to join them for a drink on many evenings. Even if we saw them out and about we were invited to join them. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even able to borrow a dustpan and brush to clean out our hire car before we left. The room was lovely with little hippy ornaments and wall hangings, so much in keeping with Matala.”
