What guests loved the most

“The attitude, the duck with cranberries and Rioja wine for dinner, the warm room, fresh backed croissants at 7:30 in the morning. Thanks a lot Montse!”

, Russia

“A very friendly, comfortable and well placed hotel for a couple of days before hitting the ferry ports. Twelve miles from Vitoria or on the doorstep of the National Park.”

, United Kingdom

“Very comfortable room (No 301); good location for trips to the national reserve nearby ”

, Germany

“The breakfast was the best throughout our holiday. The hotel manager was so helpful smiled all the time .”

, United Kingdom

“We had a really great stay. The hotel staff were friendly and nice, as well as gave us some good recommendations about the surroundings.”

, Spain

“Parking was no problem, situated in a small village. Walk out of hotel into village square with a couple of outside bars. Village atmosphere”

, United Kingdom

“UNBELIEVABLE dinner! Maybe the best meal I had on our entire trip through the Basque Country! The owner was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was huge with comfy bed, nice modern bathroom - we even had a kitchenette which we did not get to use much but had we stayed longer, would have been useful.”

, USA

“The owner and staff went out of their way to make us welcome. The Menu del Dia was excellent value for money cooked fresh for us by the owner's wife. Breakfast is complimentary and of a high standard. On our second night the hotel restaurant was fully booked with a private party but they still fitted us in. A good hotel if you are catching the ferry and the back roads to Bilbao are beautiful.”

, United Kingdom

“The Hotel was centrally located in a pleasant large Basque village next to the village square where people were spending the Saturday evening with their children, talking in the playground or having coffee in the local cafes - so we felt part of the place immediately especially as we were the only tourists. Friendly and welcoming staff who spoke good English. The dinner was cooked in the Restaurant behind a counter which made us more confident about the quality and cleanliness of its preparation. The dining room had good daylight and was lightly furnished with white tables and pale blue cloth covered chairs. The food was good and we had an excellent bottle of local white wine Eukeni Txakoli with good acidity and reminiscent of Swiss mountain wine.”

, United Kingdom

“Great hotel, very helpful staff and very good food. The hotel is 5 mins away from a Park Natural with lovely walks and cycling. With stayed two nights and would have booked longer but for the weather forecast.”
