What guests loved the most

“Very unusual to be able to spend the night in a castle. Just like being King for a day. The food was excellent.”

, United Kingdom

“The staff could,nt have been more helpful, especially DIEGO, HE COULD,NT HAVE DONE ENOUGH FOR YOU, hes a true gem to the resort.........nothing was a problem.”

, United Kingdom

“The place is really nice, very close to the beautiful town of Allariz, where you can find very good restaurants and nice outlets. The hotel is beautiful, nicely decorated and with good views.”

, Spain

“What a wonderful little castle and a privilege to be able to stay in this historic building. We enjoyed being able to walk around the ramparts, and found our room comfortable and quiet. The gentleman in charge was kind enough to bring our meal time forward from 9.30 to 8.30pm. The food was excellently cooked and presented, and the wine was really good too. Breakfast was basic but adequate.”

, United Kingdom

“Diego was the consummate host making us feel special from the moment we walked in to when we left, nothing was too much for him to do and his English was very good. We long to go back in winter when the wood burners will be blasting out heat, if the experience is half as good as sitting on the outside decking watching the sunset with wine and food it will be heavenly!!!”

, United Kingdom

“What a great place to stay and our hosts Carlos and Diego were superb. Carlos cooking is fantastic and constantly inventive and Diego always attentive. Our stay here was so enjoyable.”

, Ireland

“Definitely stay for dinner. It was probably our best meal of the entire trip and there does not appear to be much else in the area in any case.”

, USA

“I did not want to leave! Where do I begin! Beautiful castle and location, lovely guest lounge room, great bed and facilities. The hosts - Carlos and Diego - were wonderful and made me feel like a Queen! Dinner was wonderful. I could not have wanted more. I will always remember my holiday here.”

, Australia

“Wonderful location and a unique building. Diego the general factotum couldn't have been more helpful and obliging. On top of all that our evening meal was a true delight. Can't recommend enough.”

, United Kingdom

“This classic castle has been converted to a hotel/restaurant, and is a must for any traveler. This in not a conventional hotel, but its character, history and most of all, fine dining provided by the 5*, well-known Carlos Parra (who specializes in Galician cuisine), make this destination well worth a visit. I recommend a regular room (there are a few), and dining is a must! The wine, the food, the staff and the ambience are beyond description!”
