“It is a Mediterranean style hotel which locates at the left of the harbour and easy to be reached. The receptionist，a handsome and decent old man，is very kind and hospitality. ”
“The room we had came with an amazing balcony with sea view. Since the hotel is directly next to the beach we woke up to the sound off the waves every day. The interior of the room was in a maritime style wich fits perfectly. We had the impression that the hotel took care about all the details in general to make your stay as nice as possible. Dario, the young owner took care of everything and organized best excursions for us wich I absolutely recommend. He was in every case super helpful and competent and his English is perfect. We will come back next year 100%.”
“I loved staying at Mercanti di Mare!!!!! It was extremely convenient to the ferry port, and for the lovely town of Santa Marina. The service was generous, informative, friendly, welcoming. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. The property itself is very well-kept and charming. The apertivo and breakfast are great! The views are perfect as the moon rises from the sea! Just across the road to a beach which is great for relaxing and swimming and just beside a bus stop which will take you around the rest of the island to explore. All of my praises to Dario and the rest of the team at Mercanti di Mare! Grazie!!!”

“The hotel is situated very near the ferry-port, essy to wallk. When you're by car in Sicily it is wise to park in Milazzo at 'Parking delle Isole'. They are very professional and have a shuttle bus that brings you to the ferry. In Salina you can rent a scooter. In one afternoon you've seen all you can see. In Lingua, 5km from the hotel, is the only beach with 'lettini and ombrellone', very nice. Trattoria Cucinotta, in the main street above the hotel, is a nice restaurant.”

“The room was large, clean and silent, facing a patio. Very cosy. The staff was nice and kind. A small refrigerator allowed us to keep our fruit and water fresh. The hotel is very close to the pier, and the terrace where the breakfast is served faces the sea. It is a great way to start the day. We will be back there for sure!”
