“Very homey renovated 18th century farm. We loved it and the family who owned it and hosted us. The 93-year old matriarch made sure my eggs and coffee were just right. She and her daughter-in-law cooked two fabulous dinners, better than that of a gourmet chef we had the same week at another hotel. It felt like we were at home. Rooms are rustic and charming. If you are unable to negotiate worn stone steps, you might find it a bit tricky with an upstairs room, but we loved it. There's a pool, but we were there at the end of the season so it was a bit too cool. Tennis courts are there and even a fitness room. We chose, instead, to walk across the road to a huge park with a small lake to hike around. Lovely swans and beavers. The peace of the farm hotel was a joy. Parking is plentiful and secure.”
