“Very convenient location in Venice, approx. 6-7 mins. walk from St Marco and easy 4 mins. (flat walk, no bridge to cross with luggage in tow!) to the nearest vaporetto stop, San Zaccaria, . We chose the location as it was within walking distance of the Arsenale, one of the Biennale main venues. A good selection of typical Venetian trattoriae and ristorantes around the square close to the hotel. Our room overlooked the little square, which would have been too noisy if the windows were left open, but it was quiet due to double glazing. Nice, functional bathroom. Very pleasant staff and very good breakfast--individually cooked scrambled eggs. Breakfast room run by a lovely lady. The weather was too cool in the morning to permit use of the delightful outdoor terrace at breakfast.”
