“Great location in beautiful valley, great village with many old farmer's houses still standing and rennovated - funny to see costumated figures - you can feel yourself like in open-air museum of old-time dolomitian life. In the three minutes walk distance lies Serrai di Sottoguda gorge - very famous and beautiful walkway beneath the gorgeus cliffs - and you can walk right to the starting station of Marmolada cable car - it is also reachable by the car in 10 minutes. The hotel itself is very clean, food is great, the whole stuff is also english-speaking (which was great as we don't speak italian - sorry!) and extremely attentive, freindly and caring, always smiling. A great thank you to Mr Francesco and the whole staff of La Montanara!”
