“Air conditioning was not working in the room. It stopped working at 1 am. Husband went to reception where they were able to activate it. It keot turning off every hour subsequently. The room became unbearably hot. Had to call reception every time and then it was turned on. So no sleep on first night of hols.”

“The ambience of the hotel is very pleasing to the eye. That's about as far as it goes. The staff were not friendly. They would look at us as if we were stupid. Which I can assure you we were not and were not asking anything out of the ordinary. Their personalities were boring - no smiles or friendliness. On the plus side it's close to the port, walking distance, to get the ferry to the Aeolian Islands. Breakfast fairly average - tea, coffee, cakes, toast. There was gluten free bread which I had for toast the first morning. The rest of the other 3 mornings we were there the gluten free bread was not replaced. Bit disappointed with the hotel. Shame because it looks modern and nice but as said, that's as far as it goes.”
