“We spent 5 nights in Akureyri, using it as a jumping-off point for other attractions nearby. The Hotel is right outside town, an approximately 5 minute drive from the city center. It is a family run business, and you will probably run into the entire family during your stay here! The rooms and bathrooms are decent sized, and the breakfast selection was also good. All the staff were very nice, helpful and are very hard-working. The location of this Hotel makes it a great choice for catching the Northern Lights, since it is on a hill and a bit away from town, so you don't have any light pollution - we were lucky to be able to see the Northern Lights two nights in a row. Definitely recommended for your stay in Akureyri!”

“Location was good (if you're travelling by car) - next to the forest - so fresh air around, enjoyed my walk before going to bed. Room was very clean, a lot of light, facing the forest. Breakfast was very good! The staff was very nice, when I asked for gluten free food, they made a cake for me, that was very nice of them. Lady at the reception was calm and nice as well, shared some useful information. Recommended!”
