“the room was quite comfortable and the bed was good. The breakfast area was too crowded and the tables stuck together. No room to move around. The location is good but I believe that it is too expensive.”

“Hotel Kette is charming and staff are very gracious. My room, on the 2nd floor (3rd floor if going by US floor level assignments) overlooked a small canal. I was so happy to have Gondoliers navigating just below my window as boat occupants were serenaded by competent musicians and good vocalists. I am so fortunate to have stayed at Hotel Kette. Know that if you stay once and return 20 years later, they will remember you with a bottle of wine waiting in your room. That would not happen at a chain hotel. If you go, ask for a canal view!”
“ideal location, 3 min walk from San Marco square. Quiet street with great view of a canal, from the hotel-window. Nice classy rooms with modern bathroom and free toiletries. Great breakfast with many choices. Friendly staff at reception and breakfast. Hotel has it's own pier, so water-taxi can bring you right at the door ( expensive but definitely worth it ).”

“Venitian decor, bright room easy walk to locations in all directions. St. Marks square 5minutes Rialto Bridge 7 minutes Water buses in near St. Marks square 8-10 minutes. Water taxi drooped us off a few hundred yards away although hotel has its own jetty.”

“We went in high season, and hotel is in a good position very near San Marco square but a little out of the rat race, particularly in the evenings when it is easy to walk around without competing with lots of other tourists. Staff were very friendly and informative and at the end we were heading for a cruise ship with friends. Water taxi was organised to the back door at reasonable price for 4 people and that worked perfectly”
