“I was very happy to find the Itamarati. This is an older-style hotel with character in a very convenient location, on a street off the Praca Republica. I stayed here when I first arrived in Brazil, and the last 3 nights before I had to leave. My rooms were both facing the street-but I liked that aspect, as it is a boulevard with trees going down the middle and one can see the passers-by. Of course, there were other rooms that do not face the street if you so desire. I liked the fridge and safe in the room as well as the spacious bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, and they take great pride in what they do.... so Bravo! The breakfast selection is also fantastic with many, many options of fruit, breads, eggs, etc. I also cannot complain about the price. What a great price for such a comfortable hotel!”
“Location close to all transportation, metro buses and more important Airport Bus stop. Lots of places to eat and shop, not the best part of town however had no problem or saw anything that was scary or dangerous. People seems very relax and calm even the homeless , streetwalkers and party people lots of bars and clubs could be a bit loud until early morning. Breakfast was more than you would expect for the price of room, looked forward to it every morning. Staff where friendly and very helpful left my cell phone in the room after check out and it was return , eight hours after i retune to get by luggage that they kept free of charge in a secure room .Best hotel on my trip to Brazil for a month Rio Belo Sao and Brasilia. I would return if ever in Sao Paulo again.”
“Cozy, but it would have been better with higher quality blanket. Good breakfast buffet. Good location-5 minutes walk to the Praca Republica, and was easy to take airport bus to Guarulhos international airport. Staffs are not really fluent in English, but they were nice.”
