“From the moment we got to the hotel until the moment we left, the staff were absolutely terrific. Attention to detail was what you would expect in a top five star hotel. The hotel itself is quite obviously going through a modernisation/investment phase although there was nothing wrong with any aspects of the building or furnishings it is quite obvious that the hotel has recognised the fact that it needs to bring itself into the modern times. This takes time and serious money. When complete I would seriously expect the star rating to rise along with the costs to stay there. Fantastic location, very quiet at night and views overlooking the Fulda River. Beautiful. The town itself was full of remarkable old wooden framed buildings and nice restaurants. Friendly locals and just a really good find. The ongoing joke between myself and m y business partners is whether the hotel is going to be good or not. On this occasion the hotel was great.”

“We really enjoyed our overnight stay - good location to walk into the village, clean spacious rooms, friendly helpful staff (particularly as the car park was being redone and we had to park elsewhere - she showed us exactly where we needed to be), and a delicious 3 course dinner. Good choice for breakfast too!”
“There was heavy duty work taking place to enlarge their car park when we arrived, but the staff were quick to reassure us that we would be staying close by away from any noise. They were very helpful in providing local information for us and overall we enjoyed our couple of nights there.Only a couple of minutes walk into the Altstadt, which is in itself worth a visit.”
