“Sabine and Sylvia are wonderful hosts, their breakfasts were excellent and the home made bread delicious. Our room was huge with wonderful views over the village and hills. Excellent walking, cycling and hiking from the hotel. Lots of places to eat in the evening locally and nearby. We don't normally revisit places but I can see us going back here time and again. This area of the Black Forest is spectacular.”
“The hosts are just amazing, they would do anything to help you and give you tips about the activities around. The town is between the most beautiful places you can visit, such as Wutschschlucht, Freiburg, lake of Kostantz, Basel to name a few. Oh, the breakfast was also very good. There is a restaurant called Waldeck 3 min far away which serves unbelieveble food, spa and swimming pool 4 minutes away and a very beautiful waterfall at around 30 min of walking. Very good conditions considering the low prices. ”
“Our stay at Hotel Garni Silberfelsen was absolutely perfect. The hosts were extremely welcoming and put in a lot of effort to speak English to us because we know little Deutsch. Silvia and Sabine were always very kind and upbeat. Every morning they seemed to have tons of energy and provided great service during breakfast, which was amazing. The beds were great and the rooms were very clean. We had a basic room but it had an outdoor area where we were able to sit out and view the town. The hosts were also very informative about things to do in the area and put in a lot of effort to answer our questions and to assist us with any needs. Parking was easy and check-in was simple as well. Overall our stay was amazing and we would highly recommend this hotel. We miss Schwarzwald and this hotel with its hosts!!”
“Great hospitality, excellent breakfast and very clean hotel. Both hosts do everything they can to make you feel at home. I definitely recommend this hotel.”
“Clean spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. Everything very well thought of. Pool-spa facility 100m.”
“The perfect spot to explore Black Forest. The owners were very nice and welcoming.”
“Very friendly ladies/hosts. We had a great time here and they where very understanding of our not so good German language ;-) Very nice room ( the 3m2 larger one ) with walk-in-shower. Nice balcony and a door that can open in 3 positions so you also can have extra ventilation during the night. Breakfast was good! Parking no problem. Would also be possible with motorcycle trailer in front of hotel (if empty ) or a very closeby parking. All in all, an experience as you are arriving at family. Swimmingpool ( Swarchwald karte so is free! Only 2 euro for lockers that you will get back ) is close by and is fantastic to visit. Swimming outside watching the mountains. Closeby there are nice walking possibilities. Must do. For diner we loved the old monestry in St. Albien. Lovely place in the evening to have a short walk around, have a drink, ice cream, etc.”
“Everything was excellent from the welcome we received from the owners on our arrival, a tour of the property and explanation of everything we needed to know. Our rooms were lovely with views of the village and Black Forest. Breakfast was included and was lovely and a great choice of hot and cold. Best hotel we have stayed in in Europe. The owners went the extra mile to make everyone comfortable.”
“I am a disabled lady, they met my requirements. The owners could not do enough to help us. Lovely room with a balcony, beautiful area.”
“The owners were lovely and very insightful. Waited up late for us to arrive and had a nightcap ready. Noticed we hadn't liked the pillows the first night so gave us new ones (without us asking). They were ready with new towels when we came back from the pool/sauna across the street (freely accessible w hochschwarzwald karte). We had a lovely room. Breakfast was great and abundant every morning. Wifi available everywhere (sometimes slightly bad signal, but not a big issue). We were there mainly to go skiing in Feldberg which was a 20 minute drive away, and a surprisingly great ski resort (for only 3 days, might get boring if longer). Really a nice hotel, and we had a very relaxing stay, very much thanks to the owners.”
