What guests loved the most

“Ana and Javea were excellent hosts and were especially helpful when we wanted a local restaurant. The room was immaculate and the roof terrace was lovely after a long drive. Our room overlooked the vineyards and we had a conducted tour of the lovely property. We received a big hug when we left and we would go back any time.”

, Isle of Man

“Owners of this Hotel went the extra mile on everything, lovely place.”

, United Kingdom

“The location is great, right in the middle of La Rioja wine region. The breakfast is great, and the owners will accommodate every guest with different options. They give massages on the side as well, which is great. The hotel is very quite, with great views, and the little town of San Asensio has great food options as well.”

, USA

“Views amazing. Complimentary glass of wine on the fabulous upper terrace. Comfortable room with lots of public spaces available - sitting area, terrace, dining room. Very helpful hosts who phoned restaurant and found us alternative when they discovered it was closed.”

, United Kingdom

“The owners especially Ana were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to see and bookings winery tours. The hotel was a typical Spanish style building and was situated on top of a hill with outstanding views of vineyards. Every room seemed to have this view. The full continental breakfasts were great , with homemade cakes by the proprietors. The rooftop terrace and outside garden areas were a bonus. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Definitely a great place to stay and explore La Rioja. Thanks Ana and Javier.”

, Australia

, United Kingdom

“A very warm welcome from the owners, who could not do enough to look after us. They had remembered our special request when we booked and hade everything ready for us. An easy drive from Santander if you are heading south by car and a good place to stay overnight. Stunning views even in late winter.”

, United Kingdom

“Such a warm welcome after a long drive. Amazing breakfast next morning which set us up for a 5 hour drive south.”

, United Kingdom

“Our stay was excellent. We were greeted with a cup of coffee and a good tour round the hotel. Given the time of year (mid Feb) the hotel was warm. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful. Must try this hotel in the summer. Loved the interesting antique feel of the place with a modern decor.”
