“The staff are lovely, a warm welcome from Paige the receptionist and a terrific young waiter called Rob at dinner. Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere in the cellars of the house. (Bit gloomy for breakfast though!) Comfort is superb with a wonderful bed, cotton bedding and feather pillows. Luxurious furnishings which you expect from Hotel du Vin. Lots of ready hot water, especially welcome as I was there during a very cold January spell.”

The small attention to detail in the rooms ie. bathrobes, selection of magazines, all little extras included in the price ensured our personal comfort. “Room, with small balcony, was lovely. Good size. Clean, huge shower & shower room, with cast iron bath in the bedroom.....(yes, honestly!) Nespresso coffee machine, with fresh milk in the fridge. Plus kettle & lots of different teas! Breakfast lovely ( cooked to order). Quiet location, and lovely building. Friendly staff.”
