“We stayed for 5 nights in Hotel dei Templi (HDT). If you plane to make some trips to other cities like Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, etc. it's ok. If not, it's to long to stay there 5 nights. Our room was very clean and our hosts very friendly. The breakfast was great. But of course you only get a breakfast 'italian style', which means really good coffee, a cornette and some orange juice. The hotel is just a few minutes away from the temples of Paestum, but to the beach its a relatively long distance-walk - about 40 minutes. (If you have a car it's no problem). There a a few nice restaurants in walking distance which are really really great. In the evening it's a great spot, too.”

“Beautiful building, stylishly modernised. We had a room on the first floor with a separate sitting room. The owner told us that it might be noisier than the top floor smaller room we had booked, asking for a quiet room, but we chose it as it was so lovely. The hotel is small with a small breakfast room and bar and no view except on to Roman walls! So quite a view really! Parking on road outside. Cold breakfast and very strong coffee but croissants excellent and generously provided. Very short walk to the temples and restaurant/bars.”

“What an amazing little gem in the middle of ruins! Arriving by train, walking down a country road, arrive at Hotel dei Templi and wow! The staff were warm and welcoming, checked us in quickly and we were off to view the most amazing temples and ruins! The Temples are literally across the street from the hotel!! You walk past several nice, sit-down restaurants, shops and cafes. The room is large - they gave me a suite which included a dining table and couch in one room, then the large bed and bathroom in the other room - all cleaned to perfection! The shower was great - plenty of hot water with great shower products and soft towels! We were served a perfect continental breakfast of croissant, jams, coffee and juice - just perfect to start our next day of sight-seeing.”
