“This is a hidden gem. Abcoude is a beautiful old little town and has all shops and restaurants one needs. The hotel is located on the picturesque Gein river - one of the most beautiful pieces of landscape and folklore in the Netherlands. And, it's right next to the train station, with very quick and regular direct train connections into the hearts of Amsterdam and Utrecht.”

The attention to design and detail within the hotel is exquisite! From beautiful lighting, flooring, double shower, furnishings, the list could go on! Oh, and the king size bed was also luxuriously comfortable. I want to live there! This is a classy hotel! We will definitely visit again, if we return to Amsterdam.”

“This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are really friendly, professional and helpful. It's super clean, beautifully restored - a real labour of love by the people who took it on (originally the old station house) - we were delighted with our stay and would recommend it without hesitation. We didn't have breakfast - we didn't need to as there was a really useful little kitchen area in our room so we self catered. However, we did have lunch there one day and it was delicious and excellent value for money. The village of Abcoude is also really lovely with nice shops, bars and restaurants. You will not be disappointed! Thank you to all the staff at the De Witte Dame - you are doing a great job!”
