“Friendly and helpful staff without being overbearing. We will stay there again if we return to Rome. Hotel is exactly as described on their web-site.”
“This hotel is like a boutique hotel. Truly lovely and has a very cosy and homely atmosphere. It is superbly located about 200m from the Colosseum and is surrounded by some real treasures in terms of churches like St Clement. It also has great restaurants, táxi rank and cash point nearby.”
“We booked a twin bedded room and upon arrival were somewhat stunned by the quirky decor for the large bedroom. Think material-lined walls, pilasters a go-go, and a sort of baldacchino over the bed. It is highly impressive though perhaps not for the faint-hearted. However, it was trumped by the bathroom which was truly amazing. Elegant marbled walls and floor, whimsical bathroom furniture in transparent plastic, a superb wash hand basin and as a total surprise, a jacuzzi. Superb! The hotel is certainly astounding value for money if you have the room I had (I cannot tell the number, as it was extremely hard to read the number on the door).”
“room tiny, but clean, cosy and comfortable. Shower awesome, location awesome.”
“The breakfast was ample, the bedrooms were very classy with great bathrooms. We were very well looked after Thanks.”
“Great location, the location is right by the colosseum and near restaurants etc. (Which was great for seeing the sights of Rome). The staff were friendly.”
“Friendly and helpful staff, delicious cappuccinos.”
“Very elegant decor. Nice roof terrace. Good air con. Reasonably quiet. Staff very welcoming. Excellent position by the Colosseum. Also some useful shops in the street including a handy grocery store.”
“The whole experience was fabulous - Roberto made me feel very welcome - taking my bag up to my room. Showing me how to work the quirky key card system - showing me around the room. As I had requested there was no feather pillow or bedding (allergic). The decor is incredible - so beautifully presented and attention to detail really special. It's an ex private home and still has the feeling of being "loved". Roberto was courteous and helpful and gave me good tips, guidance and advice. The roof terrace is a special oasis of beauty and tranquility after a busy day sightseeing. The close proximity of the Colisseum is such a bonus and I walked all the way into the City on the 2nd day - finding lots of interesting sights along the way. I will definitely return to the Hotel Celio. I have photos”
“Excellent location very close to Colosseo Friendly staff accommodating as much as they can Interior is special, not a "normal" hotel, even if not my style”
