“Capella das Artes is a real gem on the Algarve. It was just what we were looking for in a holiday, quiet & relaxing.”
“The grounds and public areas at Hotel Capela das Artes are beautiful. The tranquil gardens contain a wide range of plants, flowers and olive trees and the main pool is in secluded and relaxing area. The main historic building are beautiful and contain a vast array of traditional Moroccan furniture and works of art. The staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. The rooms are a good size, are decorated and traditionally furnished to a very high standard and are spotlessly clean, with daily maid service. The bathroom was big with a bath and over bath shower. Toiletries were not provided but we were provided with a hair dryer on request. If you are looking for a quiet, calm and relaxing holiday within easy walking distance of a small quaint village then this is the place for you.”
“Staff was super friendly. Also the possibility to rent surf equipment and having a teacher organised by the staff was amazing! My friend and I are thinking of coming back there.”
“Excellent pool, beautiful and relaxing surrounding area. Very quiet. Very good breakfast with plenty of options.”
“It was so relaxing and peaceful. The apartment and balcony was beautiful and spacious and the pool area was gorgeous. We loved the old buildings, gardens and quirkiness of the decor”
“beautiful building - really clean and friendly staff”
“We loved the querky nature of this hotel with its' abundance of Moroccan artifacts and decor. The way the grounds and buildings are laid out gives a wonderful sense of space and privacy. We loved the infinity pool - the surrounding tents and iron loungers were a lovely bonus. The bedding and towels are of the finest quality with possibly 400 thread count for the sheets. Not having a restaurant on site wasn't a problem as there is an excellent one in the village 5 minutes walk away. It's possible to get drinks and snacks during the day served at the poolside.”
“Incredibly beautiful hotel, very clean and spacious with amazing grounds and pool! Staff super helpful and friendly, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at :)”
“Staff were really friendly, my wife forgot her phone and wallet when we left, on ringing them they were found and we were able to pick them up. It is more of a motel than hotel. Can see that work is being done and it could be really good, but too expensive at the minute for what it is.”
“This lovely property has an excellent position for a number of activities one would want to do in Algarve. It is close to the main roads, and there is no noise, a few kilometers from the beaches and just outside a small medieval village with 3 good restaurants. The gardens of the property are just magnificent, with a huge swimming pool in the middle where you could linger all day. Rooms are big, with nice terraces and sun in the morning, so one can use them all day. The owner and the staff are very friendly, always ready to help and also show the property which includes beautifully restored buildings from 15th and 17th centuries with antique objects. The guests are invited to pick different fruits growing in the gardens. The breakfast is nice, the special treat is the freshly squeezed orange juice. And if you are lucky to be there at the beginning of the season, you will feel like belonging there.”
