“My stay at Calipso Hotel in Mazzeo near Taormina was a really nice experience. It is very close to the beach, and i walked from there to Taormina (about 1hr walk) along the beach. The Hotel offers a nice swimming pool and i had a room with its own closed terrace which was very nice and a surprise! I had a great time and the breakfast was also great. I arrived by rental car and it was no problem to park the car underneath the Hotel in the garage. I would like to come back here soon.”

“Comfortable room. Fairly clean, though not spotless. We loved the pool! Parking was spacious by Sicilian standards, but the street leading to it was typical Sicily – very tight squeeze! The front desk recommended some great local restaurants. This avoids the tourist traps up in Taormina. I strongly recommend the restaurant behind the hotel. The food was superb! Ask the owner for a taste of his homemade mandarincello to finish your meal. We loved it!”

“Cozy and friendly place, very clean, practical location (immediately by the beach, close to village, 5 minutes to Taormina). Small hotel, very quiet, but with a good service... I actually think it is worth more than the 3 stars.... The room was fine, with all the comfort needed for a great stay: perfectly functioning air conditioning, minibar, tv, safe, nice terrace right on the pool. Very relaxing place to be!”
