“Comfortable room and my sleep was only disturbed because of a gale that went on all night blowing things around in the street below, and it suspended the ferry services the next day, the first time I have known that, which scuppered my plans to go to Bellagio. Very clean and good value for money for the location. Varenna village is bit dead on Sunday evenings for restaurants, so choose carefully and plan ahead.”

“This was my second stay at this hotel. The staff are excellent. The position perfect. The room we had was a corner balcony room and was wonderful. It was a good size and the balcony was large and lovely with views to the lake. The shower room in this room is large and well equipped. Breakfast is between 8am and 10am and the staff make you coffee to suit. Wonderful cappuccino ! My son had hot chocolate which he loved( it is very hot). The croissants are varied and tasty. The range for breakfast is limited but more than adequate. I hope to be back again soon and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.”

“Great little family run Hotel. Close to train station - Vareena-Esino. A short walk downhill. Hotel has lift - bonus for us as we are in our sixties. Room spotlessly clean & made up every day. Great hot shower & a good size. Breakfast was good fresh ham/cheese, brioche, cereal, juice, tea/coffee. The room also had a kettle for that cup of tea at night.”
“Location, view, most of all was Sam, the bartender/office manager/information person. He told us we could park free at the train station, about 4 minutes walk away, which was perfect, so parking was not a problem. Breakfast was also more than expected. Bar/restaurant/news stand in lobby was a nice convenience, not noisy at night as others may have mentioned. Rooms were clean.”
