“Good selection of drinks with Icelandic spirits. Stunning view.”
“We loved our stay at the Budir, although it was too short. We booked a suite and were so impressed with the cleanliness of the room, the space to spread out, comfort of the couch and chairs and the view---the wow was amazing. From our room, we could see the mountains in the distance and the black church sitting on the hill.”
“The location of this hotel is great if you like getting off the beaten track and being surrounded by nature and stunning scenery.”
“So lovely. By the black church!!! Would go again. Loved it!!!”
“Beautiful hotel in an unmatched location. Stunning scenery with a phenomenal bar and comfortable rooms.”
“Location is incredible and the hotel is lovely. Very friendly staff”
“We liked the location. It was a quiet get away from the city.”
“Stunning location, felt almost at the end of the world. Lovely country hotel, great views out to see and of the mountains. Excellent food. None of it is cheap, but Iceland on the whole is pricey and given the quality we felt that this offered better value for money than the cheaper hotel we stayed at. The manager also offered us a lift back when she spotted us walking back from a long walk with the weather closing in!”
“Beautiful rooms and very modern; even though the photos of the property look dated. This place is gorgeous! Hotel staff is great and really helpful. It feels like a fancy retreat at the end of the earth. They will also give you a wake up call for the northern lights!”
“The hotel is situated in the middle of truly breathtaking nature and is furnished in a style that fits perfectly and makes you feel warm and welcome (we were there in November and particularly loved the entrance area with the open fireplace, comfy sofas and wall to dealing windows). The view from our window was amazing, too. The little church next to the hotel is very picturesque, and you can start wonderful walks/hikes right from the hotel's doorstep. The team was very friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed staying at the hotel and, as a matter of fact, regretted that due to our tight travel schedule we could not stay another night.”
