“Awesome high ceilings, great view, rooms spacious and comfortable. Great housekeeping, lovely stocked breakfast foods. Convenient location as close to shops and cafes. Staff very nice and helpful.”

“It was central to Woodend and above the local brewery.. Lovely staff and excellent food the curry veggie bowl was to die for.. And a freshly cooked breakfast in the morning not buffet well worth it for a lovely night in woodend.. The only thing was our room was overheated but we turned the ceiling fan on so not an issue ”

“This was better than we expected. I took my partner here for his surprise birthday getaway, and we were both very pleasantly surprised. Every aspect exceeded expectations, based on the price I paid, the fact that it was a 'pub', and the room. Staff were phenomenal; extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. The room was large and comfortable (and best of all........ just upstairs). The tasting paddle was fun, the menu items and other drinks (local wine) were fantastic. Breakfast and coffee was a delightful start to the morning. Discount on buying a carton of their beer, if you tried the beer tasting paddle. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will be back, next time with beer loving friends”

“Good location, nice staff, easy guest back-door access to avoid walking through the restaurant. I'm just sad that I unfortunately couldn't stay around for the cooked Sunday breakfast!”
