- Please note that the hotel is entirely non-smoking.<br><br>Please note that from the end of December until the beginning of April, the hotel can only be reached by 2 cable cars and 1 tunnel train. The rate for using these means of transport is CHF 69 per person and is not included in the room rate. The first cable car starts at Innertkirchen between 11:00-13:00. Guests will receive a plan and a time for arrival two weeks before their check-in date.<br><br>Please note further that the property is closed on Mondays.

“Location and scenery were fantastic. The room was excellent, bed very comfortable and large size. Plenty of pillows and wonderful comforter. The bathroom was perfect, hot water, great pressure, really nice soaps, shampoos and even conditioner! Towels excellent, room was spacious. They had a nice lounge with couches and chairs. Breakfast and dining rooms were beautiful too. Breakfast was top notch. Staff was friendly and helpful”
“My wife had visited this hotel as a child and it lived up to her memories as a special place. It is a luxurious hotel with all the trappings in a wonderful location with beautiful mountain views in every direction. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed it immensely. The food was well prepared and delicious but was secondary to the atmosphere and the surroundings which were perfect. Breakfast was of a similar standard. We loved this place and were happy to pay for the privilige of staying here.”

“It would be said that because of successful booking this hotel, which causes the final decision for this trip. It was last year we were passing by when curved the Grimsel pass, we found this hotel and deeply impressed. The hotel decoration is quite elegant and simple, we spent nice breakfast and good dinner time due to the good food and nice hospitality, also the checking in process is quite pleasant. The lake review from the hotel room and restaurant is nice. Totally worth it. Hope next time we could book the room successfully too”

“Unbelievable location and view. Felt just like we were in a Bond film. Fixtures and fittings top quality, and very tastefully done decor. Staff tremendously helpful and friendly. We were fitting in a few mountain passes on a driving holiday - this was a perfect stop for the Grimsel pass (you're pretty near the top). Plus the Susten Pass and the Furka Pass (from Goldfinger) were right next to it. Some really interesting facts about what's going on in the mountain beneath...”
