“It's more a motel than a hotel. Beds were big and comfy, enough for 2 people; rooms are clean but the window of our room could not be closed allowing some noise inside. It's good to have a parking outside - although they asked me to move the car from one spot to another the next morning ... All in all I would say it's good if you're on the run and just plannig to stay 1 night.”
“Close to town, on a bay with the ocean right off of our balcony. Room 216 is close to the end of the hall, with the ocean lapping close by. We left the door on the balcony open (second floor) and had a gentle breeze and could hear the waves all night. Close walk to Coconut Cafe for breakfast. Huge banyan trees out front. Quiet and peaceful. Be sure and go to the farmers market in downtown Hilo. Little kitchenette was simple but nice. Good parking. We had a large bed that was okay for comfort. No AC- but fans in the room which were adequate.”
“This is a budget hotel to stop a night in Hilo when exploring volcanoes on Big Island. Note that to see lava, one has to stay in the park after dark, and thus returning to Kona is not an option. The hotel is very basic, but we had a ocean view room and slept with the window open to hear breaking waves just below our window. The room had comfortable beds, kitchenette with coffee maker, fridge and microwave. There were three fans in the room to compensate for the lack of AC. The staff was friendly and immediately found the reservation. Driving to volcano park and couple of very nice tropical botanical gardens is short and convenient. So i would say that it is ideal for the traveler.”

“Comfortable Beds, staff very friendly. Despite they tell you coffee is only provided once they gave me a pack every day when I asked. Washing machines and driers were probably new (less than 12 months). The price was good so putting up with the old fashioned furniture wasn't a problem. Fantastic view over the bay. The main shopping Mall and various restaurants were no more that a 10 minute drive. Central for travel in all directions out of Hilo”
