“Very friendly staff. Beautiful rooms excellent breakfast”
“It was easily reachable from Leiden main train station, check in was quick, room was super clean and very spacious. The staff at the front desk was helpful, nice and friendly. (Unrelated exactly to my stay, but I also liked the hotel's charity initiative. )”
“Beautiful room, clean and modern with all facilities and even a small bottle of wine as welcome present. Very quiet too.Host are extremely friendly”
“Great place to stay! Very very clean room, great bathroom, good view from the room, quite location, friendly staff, good breakfast, free parking and Wlan. We enjoyed being here a lot and recommend it very much to everybody. You are quick at the beach and can rent a bike at the hotel. The bred for the breakfast is homemade and the eggs are from their own chickens.”
“The hotel is very nice and clean. The location is very quite and relaxing. It is easy to arrive using public transportation even late in night. The shower was amazing.”
“Quiet location. Wine surprise. Good breakfest with many nice things: water with fresh mint, fruits, fresh bread, etc. Very nice big room. Bathroom is one of the best ever - good and new equipped, big and clean.”
“The place was recently renovated and in excellent condition. Everything is almost brand new. It was also very clean. Located somewhat away from the busy road in a quiet and somewhat secluded area next to the river Rhein. One can enjoy the view of the river during breakfast. Breakfast is quite nice. It was equidistant drive (~10 min) to Leiden and seaside (Katwijk), which is amazing place and absolutely worth visiting. At the reception they offer bikes for rent (~10euros per day) and should I have stayed longer, I would have definitely explored more the surrounding area.”
“This was one of the most interesting hotels we've ever visited. It is the converted town hall in Katwijk, the summer home of the Dutch royal family, and borders the Rhine River that has been tamed by the famous Dutch water control system just a few miles from its North Sea mouth. A philanthropist whose mother was suffering from dementia built this hotel for senior citizens in the area as a gathering place during the day. By night it is a five-star hotel with sumptuous fittings and an understated elegance, including a third-floor meditation room. The hotel manager very thoughtful explained the hotel's non-commercial mission to us and served us tea in our room upon arrival. We felt honored to be in such a beautiful place with such an unselfish agenda.d”
“The excellent facilities and atmosphere is backed up by the effort it makes for socially relevant themes”
